About Mantle 2020

Mantle 2020 started with an idea, dreamt from designing collections from brands I was working with, while working in buying in the fashion industry. Having never studied design, I never thought I could have my own brand. But I took time, researched and planned, and after 4 years of planning, I finally felt ready to give this a shot.

I wanted to make something without logos and without large graphics. Having worked closely with luxury brands across a number of different roles within the fashion industry, I always came back to and felt super inspired by brands who focused all their attention and detail in parts of a garment like the fabric, hardware and fit. I knew exactly what I wanted a collection to look like, so I decided that rather than designing individual pieces, I would design a full wardrobe, where all pieces were designed to be worn together. Future collections would all be wardrobes within themselves, but would also have references to past collections, meaning that different pieces from different collections would work together. All while sticking to the principles of Quiet Luxury.

Each part of a Mantle 2020 garment is thought about with the upmost care and leaving no stone unturned in the quest for Quiet Luxury. The best fabrics, the best fits, the best garments you own. All made in the UK, using factories across the UK and using UK fabric suppliers. A UK brand supporting UK production. That is the goal I have for Mantle 2020.
