Having worked in some of the biggest fashion brands in the industry, across a number of different roles, founding his own brand seemed like a dream, rather than a possible reality, especially having never studied design. While working in a buying team, looking after brands that were smaller and looking for help with design, the founder taught himself about the practices needed to be successful in this field. The first collection he designed with a brand, was a huge success and sold out in a few months. Seeing people around the brand building wearing pieces he had helped design, was a moment that put the thought into his head he could do this for himself. So he came up with a plan.

 

During this time, the founder moved from London, to Glasgow, while still planning. However, the timing never felt right to launch. Working with new products in Glasgow, further shaped the vision of what the brand would look like. After 4 years of planning and researching, the vision was finally clear.

 

The inception of Mantle 2020 was a simple vision: to create a brand that encapsulates the essence of quiet luxury. He believed that true elegance does not shout; it whispers. This belief became the cornerstone of Mantle 2020, guiding every decision from fabric selection to design philosophy.

Future collections are all designed, while referencing previous ones, meaning that someone who is investing in Mantle now, and in five years time, will be able to mix and match pieces through collections. Providing an effortless and luxurious way of getting dressed in the morning.
